Our advice to you!

Please treat people with respect and as you would expect to be treated yourself. Always remember that the event is family friendly and completely inclusive of everyone and their wonderfully diverse personailities and cultures. We will not tolerate hate, violence or discrimination directed at anyone!

If you feel that you would benefit from having a quieter introduction to the event before the main queue comes in, please email us at mark@strikingevents.com and let us now and we will add you to the early entry list. You do not have to have any proof of any particular kind, so we hope this will not be abused. We want to make our Comic Con events accessible for everyone, so if this early entry would help you then please do drop us an email. You must have a ticket to the event as normal and you can also have your family, friend or anyone with you in your party accompany you for early entry.

Yes, we are happy for people to take photos or shoot video, so long as it is not in a professional capacity. (Professionals should see us to clear their credentials first). Yes, absolutely. We encourage anyone that wishes to dress up / cosplay to do so. There is also a competition for the best costumes that will be judged in the afternoon. Please try and keep costumes family friendly though and if you are not sure then feel free to contact us in advance with some photos and we can let you know our opinion.
Yes, we have several changing rooms on site and you are welcome to use these for getting into or out of any costume that you may wish to wear.
We always take this on a case by case basis. The weapon should not be actually functional as in sharp or able to fire a projectile. If it looks like it could be mistaken for a real weapon then we would ask that you maybe add some bright tape to it so that it does not look real. Also, whilst in the event people expect to see the weird and wonderful weapons some cosplay characters have, that is not the case in the ‘outside’ world so please do be mindful of that on your way and home from the event. If you would like any help with whether your weapon is suitable for the event please feel free to email us a picture or see us on the door on the day. We want everyone to have lots of fun and so it is not our intention to take any part of your cosplay from you and you will only be asked to leave it at home or behind our desk if we feel that it would really present a danger to yourself or others.
Usually the competition for Under 13's is at 12.30 and 13 and over is at 1pm. It is usually held in the Cosplay Zone but please do ask a member of staff to confirm on the day. Please try and be there a few minutes before as we always try to start on time and it does not take long and we wouldn’t want you to miss it.
Please, please come and see us at the event and we will see what we can do for you. We want everyone to have a fantastic and fun day and so hope that problems do not arise. However, if they do then we often cannot do anything to make things better after the event. The time to bring up issues is at the event. Please do not feel awkward or shy about bringing issues to us. It is our job to try and fix them for you and we actively want to hear from you at the event so we can help solve an issue.
Most of our venues have free parking but pleases be aware that the Worcester Arena has a charge of £4 for the day and there is a parking charge at The Marshall Arena for Milton Keynes Mega Comic Con.
I am afraid that we do not allow this unless we have previously given permission in writing.
